NextDash is a fast-paced auto-runner for the ZX Spectrum Next. Guide a constantly moving cube through gaps, spikes, platforms, and increasingly demanding levels. Time every jump, collect useful power-ups, and keep your run alive for as long as possible.

Power-ups
- Rocket: take control in the air for a limited time.
- Shield: survive dangerous collisions while the shield is active.
- Clock: temporarily slows the action.
- Secret crystal: find every secret crystal in a level to earn a shield bonus.
Controls
Menu
- Cursor Left / Right: select a level
- Space or Enter: start
- Kempston Left / Right and Fire: select and start with a joystick
In game
- Space: jump; hold or tap while flying to control the rocket
- Kempston Fire: jump or fly
- Caps Shift + Space: return to the menu
- Kempston Down: return to the menu
- M: toggle music
How to play
- Choose an available level from the title screen.
- Press Space, Enter, or Kempston Fire to begin.
- Your cube moves automatically. Jump over obstacles and avoid falling into gaps.
- Use power-ups to reach new routes, escape danger, and improve your score.
- Complete the level to continue to the next available stage.
Requirements
A ZX Spectrum Next or a compatible emulator with ZX Spectrum Next support is required.
Installation
- Extract the downloaded archive.
- Copy the
NextDashfolder to your SD card. - Open the folder on your ZX Spectrum Next and run
nextdash.nex.
